December, 2002 Newsletter On Valentine's Day, everyone needs a little . . .
by Murray Schisgal Thursday, Feb. 6 @ 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7 @ 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 @ 2 pm. AND 8 p.m.Leonard Theatre, Peabody Hall OxACT favorites Buffy Hanna, Jim Michael, and the versatile Mike McVey (who is also directing this production) perform in one of Murray Schisgal's most successful and beloved plays. Revolving around an attempted suicide thwarted by a game of "one-downsmanship," this classic comedy is filled with sight gags, promising to keep everyone in stitches as the characters repeatedly ask, "What about love?" This production will be in Leonard Theatre, located in Peabody Hall on the Western Campus (near Kumler Chapel). The intimate venue is well-suited for this production. (Please note that we are offering FOUR performances, but the only matinee will be on Saturday, rather than our usual Sunday matinee.) Join us for an opening night reception, when we will hold a drawing for ONE FREE NIGHT at the MAPLEVALE BED & BREAKFAST! The box office for LUV opens Thursday, Jan. 23 for season ticket holders and Thursday, Jan. 30 for all others. To reserve tickets by phone, call 523-6228, or pick them up at our new uptown box office--Sweet Temptations! Located on Park Ave. behind the pavilion in the uptown parks, Sweet Temptations is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. M-F and noon to 10 p.m. on weekends (winter hours: M-F 11:30-7:00, Sat. & Sun. 12-6).
