April, 2004 Newsletter The Subject Was Roses by Frank D. Gilroy is the final production of the 2003-04 season. First performed in 1964, The Subject Was Roses won the Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, and Drama Critics Award. The film adaptation featured Martin Sheen and Jack Albertson, recreating the roles they originated on Broadway, and Patricia Neal.This production is the OxACT debut for all three cast members: David Hollingsworth, Lisa Campbell, and Joe McQueen. Tickets are $10 regular, 8$ student/senior, with $1 from each ticket going towards the "Buck for the Arts" fund-raiser for the Oxford Community Arts Center. Performances: May 14, 15, @ 7:30 pm May 15, 16 @ 2 pm Studio 88 CPA, Miami U. Special thanks to our sponsor Kiwanis Club of Oxford Tickets may be reserved by calling the OxACT box office at 513-523-OACT (6228) beginning Saturday, April 24, or may be purchased at the Miami University Art Museum beginning Monday, April 26. The museum is open 10 a.m. -5 p.m. Monday - Friday, and noon-5 p.m. Saturdays, and has plenty of parking.
